Custom Orthotics
Dynamic works side by side with Footmaxx, a company that produces high quality, orthopaedic devices including top of the line custom orthotics.
Custom orthotics are often use to address foot issues that are specific to each person, using state-of-the-art technology that screens your feet for structural irregularities. Our scanning system requires you to walk across a force plate, which evaluates information such as pressure points, weight distribution, ground reaction time and force and your foots natural path from when your foot hits the ground until push off. This information is shared with Footmaxx to create your orthotic to ensure it is custom to your foot. Upon request or specific insurance requirements, we can also prepare foot imprinting which can be sent along with the digital scan. Most insurance companies pay for some or all of custom orthotics.
Any type of foot pain can decrease mobility in your muscles, tendons, and joints due to compensation. Practitioners at Dynamic would all agree that we try to address foot, ankle, knee, hip pain first by getting movement, mobility and strength in the joint, however sometimes custom orthotics are beneficial to address structural asymmetries, load or to assist with pain. Orthotics can help redistribute the pressure on your feet and provides support and cushioning.
Custom orthotics are available as an insert that slides into your shoes or can be built into a shoe or sandal.
